I've been bitten by the Crochet Bug again. It always happens as soon as the heat of Summer gives way to the cool Fall nights. It is a nice break at the end of a long day to be able to put Little Lady Friend to bed then curl up on the couch with a cup of tea, a crochet hook and a ball of yarn, and chat with my hubby about our days... or catch up on Project Runway ;)
You've seen a few pictures of Maya wearing her Owl hat...
... are you NOT completely in love with the cuteness?! She totally rocks the "hootie" like it's her JOB to be adorable (which it kind-of is, right?), and we get compliments on it wherever we go. What can I say? My girl is ridiculously sweet <3
Last week as I was reading one of my favorite blogs of an online friend, I came across a post she had written about raising money to fund her family's upcoming international adoption. I was compelled to donate a few "Hooties" to her upcoming "Share the Love"campaign.
Is her littlest NOT super-cute modeling one of the hats?!?!
In support of my friend Emily, I have put up several custom Hootie Owl Hat listings in my ETSY Shop that will benefit the Anderson Family's adoption fund. Check out the shop, buy a hat, and know that you are helping out a family who desperately wants to bring their new daughter home from Africa.
In addition to the Hootie Hats, make sure to check her blog NEXT WEEK for her "Share The Love" event where you will be able to make a big difference in the lives of the Anderson crew. I'll be sure to post a few reminders for you to go support my sweet friend and her beyond-worthy cause throughout the upcominf posts.... don't miss out on the fun!
