It's flippin' freezing outside! Here are a couple of things that are keeping me warm..
Nothing like a hot cup of chamomile tea to warm my chilly bones :)
Snuggling under this beautiful afghan that Sandy knit for me.. perfect colors! I met Sand y and her husband, Don (hi, guys!) while working at the BBC. They have been regular customers, and good friends. A few weeks ago they came in for dinner (BOGO pizza night, of course!) toting a rather large bag. Hmmmmmm.. Sandy had knit a georgous, queen sized blanket as a wedding gift for Bob and I. Can I tell you I was moved almost to tears? Many of you know how easy that is for me, but seriously. I was so touched. Sandy, you are amazing and I am so fortunate to have the privelege of knowing you and Don. Your handiwork is keeping this little family cozy as we gather on the couch at night watching re-runs of Everybody Loves Raymond.
... and this is my feeble attempt at knitting :) Just a little somethin'-somethin' that I'm tinkering with while I chill out after dinner. Who knows who this little scarf will end up warming this winter?
Something that made me giggle this morning...I ran across a link to this video, which totally reminded me of the dance-fever that was my wedding reception. While the folks in the video clip seem to have done some sort of rehearsal, the impromptu dance-off between Griffin and Bob was certainly not. I think Jen got the whole exchange on her digital camera... maybe we'll have to work on figuring out how to upload it and give you all a peek.
VERY busy day ahead of me.. we'll see how much I am actually able to cross off my to-do list..
- Laundry (I'm guessing at least four loads..)
- Pay bills (YUCK!!)
- Oil change for the Saturn
- Wal*mart run.. I haven't been in over a month!!
- Grocery shopping
- Town Hall for copy of marriage certificate
- Social Security Office... oops, I realized I never changed my name at soc. sec. when I got married!
- work on store stuff... BIG ol' list of projects to complete..
- umm... I feel like I'm forgetting something...
