<---- my layout for the LSS challenge #3... ribbon, baby.
even though i'm not part of the cool kid club anymore, i promised myself i'd still play along, and i am.
you can see the REAL competitors' work here... such amazing talent in the group.
i think it's great that so many different people have been able to come together and challenge one another to create cool stuff.. to work with things they might not always work with, to stretch and challenge themselves creatively. sometimes i definitely find myself stuck in a rut... doing the same things over and over with different papers. i like the challenge. i like the boost of creative morale. i like to play along. i like deadlines and crunch time when i have to get the work done... most of the time. when i'm feelin' it. other times i kinda freak out from the stress.
... and another wedding layout.
hey, it's been over a year and still no "official" wedding scrapbook.
i told myself i was going to scout for the perfect papers, the perfect album, perfect, perfect, perfect. it was going to coordinate and be timeless and last forever.
um, yeah. notsomuch.
who did i think i was kidding? that has proven time and time again NOT to be me. not my ADD-ish style. i play with what inspires me at any given time, and i have to roll with it.
so here i have started my wedding scrapbook, i guess... and i don't believe the layouts are event the same sizes. gotta love the american crafts d-ring albums for that.
speaking of which, since switching from 12x12 albums (who am i tryign to kid again? all my layouts have been stored in boxes for years...) to the crazy cool american crafts d-rings, i have been on such a roll lately with cranking out the pages. i feel liberated to create what i want, when i want, in whatever size i want. the albums canaccomodate all kinds of page protectors (except the 11x8.5's... you have to punch an extra hole to make 'em fit) so i can add my pages as i please. *sweet*
i've also been working on samples for the store.. one for my explosion box class and one for crop on the cape... make sure you keep an eye out for that event... it's gonna be insanely fantastical.
*sigh*
off to do a crapload (yes, that is a technical term...) of home-ish stuff.... laundry up the wazoo, changing bed linens to warmer ones (it was 60 degrees in my house this morning and i REFUSE to turn on the heat until after the first week of November), get rid of summer-ish clothes to make room for the fall-ish ones, scrape the guts out of pumpkins so griff can get his carve-on after school, trip to wally*mart to scan and copy old pictures for my mom.... and pick up halloween candy because halloween is, like, tomorrow and i'm totally not ready.
fun, fun. fun!
I can totally hear your voice when I read your blog... LOVE THAT!! You rock, girly... plain & simple!!
