its the great pumpkin, charlie brown!

... the great WHITE pumpkin, that is.

these pics are from tuesday afternoon, Griff rocked the pumpkin carving. because i'm a total dolt, i didn't take any pictures of the halloween costume, trick or treating, or the pumpkins all a-glow. go ahead, sign me up for crappiest-mother/scrapbooker-of-the-year contest, i'm a shoe in to win.

traffic was MISERABLE getting home from the store yeaterday, and with the rounds we have to make each year visiting family (two sets of family...) while trick or treating, it really doesn't leave much time for cameras and fun. Griff made off with a bucket full of loot, which he doesn't really care about... he would rather run around the yard with his cousins screaming and yelling in the dark, trying to scare the costumes off one another.

our final stop on the trick-or-treat extravangaza is always aunt rosie's house, because it's in our neighborhood and a straight shot home. belle was super excited that auntie gave her not one, not two, but THREE baby carrots from her fridge. life is good, belle :)

griff did get all decked out for "clash day" at school, and i DID take pictures of that.

he seriously wore this outfit to school yesterday.

two different shoes, two shirts, and a clip-on tie. gotta love it.

yep, that's my child. i'm such a proud parent ;) he takes after me, you know :P

one thing i learned yesterday.... when you are a child, the cat-in-the-hat always beats out a scarecrow. ALWAYS. e-ho totally rocked the sweaty cat costume, while i itched and shed my stuffing all over the place. note to self: no raffia next year.
