Griff does NOT like to get his hair cut. I think he sees it as a complete waste of time.
As soon as the weather starts to get warm-ish, he asks if he can have a *bob* haircut... meaning buzzed almost to the scalp. While it's still only April (barely!), and I would like him to look somewhat presentable, we negotiated on a little bit of a longer buzz cut.
So out we go to the back deck. Plug in the buzzer (what's the real name for it, anyway? we just always call it "the buzzer"...). Start the buzzing at the back of the neck.... up the left side, then the right side. Then I get a *fabulous* idea.
me: "Hey Griff, want a mohawk?"
griff: "Yeah! Can I really!!!???!!!??"
m: "Sure, but only if you never see Nan again 'cause she'll kill me!"
g: "Why will she kill you? It's my hair?"
m: "Why? Because she's my mom and I'm the one with the buzzer in my hand shavin' all your hair off!"
g: "Yeah!!!! Let's do it!"
So, we left is just how it was. Buzzed on the back and sides, long and shaggy in the front and center. He can sport it through the weekend, then we'll see if I dare let him *rock the 'hawk* at school on Monday.
...my mom's gonna kill me.....
cool looking dude!!!!! and p.s. your mom will NOT kill you :)
