Hey blog-land :)
Happy Sunday!
Griff and I have a nice day planned together, taking a card making class at the store and lunching at Panera. I have a pit-stop to make at the fabric store, but other than that we will be spending a mom-and-griff day together. It shall rock.
DO any of you out there keep up with the Dares? A while back I was picked as a winner for a "non-swap" hosted by miss kc. Well, she finally got her act together and sent out my swap schtuff for me to make something with ;) I received an envelope stuffed with FABRIC... SO SWEET. I have been on a severe sewing-machine kick as of late... can't do any sort of crafting without it. Needless to say I was pretty stoked on the whole idea.
Anyway. I made a mini book that I was NOT initially in love with but turned out rather well and a layout featuring Mr. Connor's tiny days-old baby feet :D :D :D
Shout outs for all the *friends* who appeared in this tiny little mini... the whole book is based on the song "The Best Of Whats Around" by DMB.
If you didn't make it into the book, do not fear. It's just because I didn't happen to have any wallet sized photos of you printed at the exact time the idea for this project came to me. Seriously. If you weren't at the BBC on the night we lost power or did not attend the John Mayer concert-o, you didn't make the book. Partly this is also due to thte fact that these are the only pictures I can really find since I moved the scrappy apace around....
These are Connor-toes. When Connor was a week old. Now he is 4 1/2 months old and probably weighs in at close to 20 pounds. Really. The boy isn't messing around.
I l.o.v.e. this picture. His tiny little toes in my hand. I snapped this at a time when there were lots of swirling-twirling emotions in my head. A time when I would have been preparing to hold my own babe. But life isn't always ready to give us what we expect. And you know what? I'm ok with that. I am lucky. So lucky. I have what I need right now. I have lots to love and be thankful for. I have a date with my best boy today, and thats all that matters.
...and I can sneak over to Tania and Josh's house and play with and smell and feed and help bathe babes whenever I want. Thats what friends are for :D
Alrighty, then. Griff and I have to head out for a fabulous day of hangin' out and makin' stuff. HAve a fab Sunday :D
p.s. Hey Dawn! The yarn came fro AC Moore... "sensations angel hair stripes" ;)
dude. the page and the mini rock my world. please send some of that mojo my way <3

Cool book. Anything Dave is awesome. Did you really set eyelets in that fabric? I don't even know if that's the right terminology anymore! Anyway, uh....cool book. :-)
