I finally finished up some of the paper-craftiness that was piled on my desk yesterday... FINALLY.

Blue, blue, blue. I.LOVE.BLUE.
Core'dinations, core'dinations, core'dinations. I.LOVE.CORE'DINATIONS.
I placed a few large heart shapes under the background paper and sanded them to create the outlined heart effect... turned out pretty well, too! I ran several pieces of vintage and whitewashed paper through the Big Shot with Cuttlebug embossing folders then sanded them to reveal the colored core of the paper before trimming them into various heart shapes to create the dangly-border to the left of the picture... a littel time consuming, but pretty much exactly as I imagined it would be :) I *love it* when a plan works out like that!
(left to right: me, KP, Nana, cousins Danny and Amy)
Some My Little Shoebox mixed with the Core'dinations goods... the colors were PERFECT for the 1981-style picture I had hanging around my scrappy space for a while. I'm totally in love with the "look" KP is giving my Nana in the photo. Really SO perfect ;)
There is some sanding action, punching action, and sewing action all over the place here. Good stuff.
And........... a cutie card! This has been rattling around in my brain for some time and took a little while to actually pull together - I just couldn't get the colors *quite* right. I'm really pleased with the final result, though! TONS of Cuttlebug action (swiss dots, argyle, herringbone, leafy branch, and one of the new border embossing folders)... Spellbinders "labels three" die cut... Hero Arts fantastical Owl stamp... Making Memories alphabets... Vintage lace trim... YUM YUM YUM.
Griffin is away on his church missions trip to New York this week, so I'm thinking there might even be a little more paper-crafting happening today. The temperatures are supopsed to soar, and humidity is pretty ridiculous... so there *might* be a quick beach trip this morning as well ;) Hey, I paid for the stinkin' beach parking sticker, I'm gonna use it!!
Happy Monday, everyone!
you are so incredibly talented, melissa!!
