My, have these fingers been *bzzy* today!
I finally finished up the little quilt for the Bean's cradle, and I am oh-so-happy with it!
Now I can sleep soundly knowing that when this little bundle arrives, she will have a nice cozy place to rest her head. I gave up on my attempt at a fitted sheet and sufficed with a pink cotton crib sheet wrapped around the mattress several times. Voila! Bedding complete.
Not ONLY did I complete the babe's quilt, but I got the *itch* to keep on sewing. All morning long. And into the afternoon.
A lovely blanket backed with green fleece
Do you think I'm already in the *nesting* mode, or what? I had to re-thread my bobbin three times while working, and change the needle once. That NEVER happens in one session. I could have kept right on stitching my heart out, but between the heat from the iron and the light from the sewing machine, I was starting to sweat a little. That, and the fact that I thought it was noon-ish when I finally stopped, but it was actually more like 2:30. *oops*
Dear Family,
Sorry for neglecting you all day. Hope you survived without me.
Love, Me
In reality, Bobio was off doing a million different things (two side jobs then checking out a third, mowing the lawn, creating a new wiring harness for the camper, helping my dad load said camper onto the trailer hitch of his truck...), and Griff was totally content to hang out with Miss Buttons watching the X-Games.
Sounds like everyone was just fine without me ;)
Obviously, I loaded all the new goods into the ETSY Shoppe. Take a peek and let me know what you think!
