This would have been the perfect spring time project, but leave it to me to decide to create a mermaid blanket at the begining of the fall, right?? ;)
She's super soft and lightweight, and SO dreamy. I was fighting myself (again) whether or not to keep it for the babe or to put it up for sale in my Etsy Shop. The Etsy Shop won ;)
I'm in a little bit of a sewing mood again today... thinking I might have to whip up a few more lovelies before The Bean arrives.
I had a lovely lunch date with Aunt Rosie yesterday, and a nice evening with my boys. Mom wound up coming over for a visit last night (bringing a bag full of new treats for the dog....) which was the perfect way to end my day.
I'm feeling extremely lucky to be surrounded by the simple little pleasures in life. I am embracing today for what it is, and pinning NO expectations to it. Or tomorrow, or the day after, for that matter.
Thanks for all the lovely comments lately... I really feel the {{good vibes}} you're sending and appreciate them so greatly.
dude. that is BEAUTIFUL.

Hey, Melissa, The blanket is so adorable. Just catching up on your blog today and thinking about you. Hang in there kiddo. The Bean will come when she is good and ready. After all, she's a girl! Get your rest now, because you are going to be super busy before long. Can't wait to hear what you are going to call her.
Know that there are lots of us out her waiting for your news and sending good thoughts your way. maryk
