I *officially* have a beach baby. We were up and waiting to park at Old Silver Beach at 8:30 this morning and scored ourselves a *sweet* front row parking space. With one wheely cart, two chairs, two umbrellas, four towels, one blanket, a cooler, a diaper bag, a lady-bug tent, two adults, one almost-teenager and one baby, we rolled onto the beach READY to spend some quality time in the sun (or shade).
The little lady was all slathered up with sunscreen and her fancy floppy hat. She hung out on her papa's lap and enjoyed a yummy blueberry snack while brother hit the waves.
Can you even believe that today this little girl turns 9 months old? AND her brother will turn THIRTEEN in about two weeks. I can't even deal. It's even worse than the fact that I STILL haven't seen Eclipse yet ;)
We attempted to take those perfect baby toes for a dip in the water (76 degrees by Delaney's thermometer!).... but a certain little girl was a little freaked out by the moving water and the sound of the waves.
Being at the beach is very tiring. Boosie took a (reluctant) nap in her mama's arms for a little while. She woke up refreshed and ready to play with friends and entertain everyone around us.
(look at those *portuguese rolls*!!!!!)
We decided to try the water again after the nap. Although there was a bit of hesitation, mama stuck with it and we eased into the waves. SUCCESS!!!
*splash splash*
*this is GREAT!!*
Miss M thought she was a pretty big deal slpashing in the water, licking and sucking her salty little fingers. I can't wait to bring her back :)
We left the beach when we were too hot and tired to hang out anymore, and as we pulled out from the parking lot there were still lines of cars waiting to fight their way in. *SO* glad we decided to get an early start and stake our claim on the soft sand instead of fighting for prime real estate later in the day.
I am SO SO SO happy that I have a beach baby, that Bobio had the day off and was able to spend it with us at OSB, and that Griff is havign a MUCH better time beachin' it than he did last year.
Life is good. So, so good.
Please , please stop posting such great photos you are having way to much fun for just one person....may the rest of your summer be as good as the past few days :)

Ha! I love the way she's going nuts for the water in that one picture. Let's go to Brooks Pond this weekend!
